Design building electrical systems with CIMA+ in Edmonton, using lighting, power distribution, and communication systems in a hybrid work model.
As an Electrical Engineer-in-Training, you will support CIMA+’s Buildings team across commercial, institutional, educational, and healthcare projects. You will work within the local electrical team under a senior engineer’s guidance. The work includes drafting, modelling, coordination, calculations, and site documentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Design electrical systems for diverse building projects
- Draft and model lighting, power, and communication systems
- Coordinate electrical designs with other building disciplines
- Complete design calculations under senior engineer supervision
- Review site conditions during construction visits
- Strong written and confident verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Self-motivation and initiative in assigned work
- AutoCAD, REVIT, or electrical software experience considered beneficial
