Gold Sim modelling anchors this Senior Mine Water Quality Modeller opportunity with Stantec in Burnaby, Victoria, Sidney, or other offices. Travel is required.
Stantec seeks a Senior or Intermediate modeller for its Environmental Services team. The work combines mine water quality prediction, geochemistry, environmental assessments, and permitting. You will support mining projects through modelling, field programs, monitoring, technical reporting, and client guidance.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop mine water quality models using Gold Sim contaminant transport
- Integrate geochemical source terms for mine waste and workings
- Lead or review complex mine water quality modelling projects
- Support assessments, monitoring programs, permitting, and fieldwork
- Prepare technical reports and complete document QA/QC
- Extensive Gold Sim contaminant transport module experience
- Strong mine water management and prediction understanding
- Minimum 10 years’ relevant mining consulting experience
- B.Sc. in geochemistry, hydrogeology, or earth sciences/engineering
- P.Geo. or P.Eng. registration or eligibility required
