Based in Edmonton, Alberta, the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra seeks a talented violinist for the role of Assistant Concertmaster for their 41-week season. Candidates must excel in both performance and leadership, participating in an audition process that includes recorded and live components. Community involvement and teaching are also key aspects of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as Assistant Concertmaster during performances
• Engage in local community music programs
• Lead and collaborate with violin sections
• Fulfill up to 291 performance engagements
• Contribute to a positive orchestral environment
Requirements:
• Outstanding violinist with proven leadership skills
• Legally eligible to work in Canada
• Member in good standing of a Local of the AFM/CFM
• Submit resume and proof of membership to apply
