Senior Derivatives Analyst

Job Summary The Senior Derivatives Analyst is a key contributor within the Derivatives Operations team
, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to enhance operational processes, mitigate risk, and ensure accurate derivatives processing. This role provides leadership across business model development, systems implementation, project delivery, and operational governance
, while serving as a subject matter expert in derivatives operations, regulatory requirements, and ISDA documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Derivatives Operations & Subject Matter Expertise

Act as a subject matter expert on derivatives operations, regulatory requirements, and ISDA documentation.

Provide operational support across trade capture, confirmation, settlement, reconciliation, and lifecycle events.

Confirm and affirm derivative trades with dealers to validate economic terms and legal agreements.

Review, interpret, and validate ISDA documentation, confirmations, and legal definitions.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

Partner with stakeholders to develop efficient processes and deliver operational recommendations
.

Analyze existing procedures to identify system defects, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.

Implement solutions that enhance efficiency while strengthening internal controls.

Provide training and support when introducing new business models, systems, or processes.

Systems, Data & Reporting

Investigate and resolve derivatives data issues within Aladdin
, including root cause analysis.

Build, maintain, and enhance operational and data quality reporting using Aladdin View and Aladdin Explore
.

Manage and validate security master data in Aladdin to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.

Design operational dashboards and monitors to proactively identify breaks and exceptions.

Develop compliance rules and controls for interfaces with Osttra Trade Manager, Trade Serv, and Tri Resolve
.

Stakeholder & Legal Collaboration

Liaise with front office teams to support informed business risk decisions
.

Collaborate with internal and external legal counsel to develop or amend ISDA agreements.

Translate complex derivatives concepts into clear, actionable insights.

Mandatory Requirements
Required

Hands-on experience providing operational support for derivatives
, including trade capture, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation.

Advanced understanding of OTC and cleared derivatives
, lifecycle events, and cashflow processing.

Strong proficiency with industry platforms including Markit Wire, Trade Manager, Tri Resolve, Calypso
, and Aladdin
.

Proven ability to interpret and verify ISDA documentation and derivative trade terms.

Demonstrated success identifying and resolving trade or cashflow discrepancies.

Exceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
