Financial Analyst

Our client is searching for a Financial Analyst to join their team. This role will be responsible for providing support and advice to the management team to assist in the decision-making process and providing solutions for operational planning, development, and budgeting. A successful candidate will be adaptable, analytical, and eager to understand the nuances of financial operations beyond standard metrics. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, excels at translating financial insights into operational impact and is enthusiastic about continuing to grow in their career.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Collaborate closely with various Department Managers, translating financial insights and providing resource assistance or strategic advice as required
  • Support the FP&A Manager in the detailed review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial results and comparing the information with appropriate statistics to provide variance analysis on activity and pricing
  • Gather and analyze financial and statistical information to support both strategic and operational decision-making for the Finance Department and the organization as a whole
  • Collaborate with the accounting departments to ensure accurate monthly adjustments and accruals are complete
  • Assist in the preparation and updating of financial projections and forecasts based on evolving financial data and new funding information becomes available
  • Your strengths include:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in budgeting and financial analysis
  • Industry experience in non-profits or government-adjacent organizations is highly valued
  • Pursuing a CPA designation is preferred, but not required
  • Possess a high commitment to providing quality customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High proficiency with use of computers and software, including Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as accounting or budgeting software
  • Previous experience with Oracle is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong knowledge of financial and statistical methodologies and practices
