Senior Financial AnalystOur client is searching for a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team. This role will be responsible for delivering financial insights, analytical support, and strategic guidance to assist operational leaders in effective planning, budgeting, and decision‑making. The ideal candidate is adaptable in a fast‑paced,
dynamic environment, excels at translating financial insights into operational impact, and brings strong problem‑solving skills with a commitment to continuous growth.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:Gather, analyze, and evaluate financial and statistical data to support the organization's strategic and operational plansCollaborate closely with non-financial operational leaders, providing financial advice, problem‑solving support, and strategic resource guidance for their respective departmentsPerform detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews of financial results, combining financial information with key statistics to complete activity and price variance analysisWork with internal Finance teams to ensure accurate monthly adjustments, accruals, and financial controls are in place for supported portfoliosLead the development, maintenance, and monitoring of departmental budgets, ensuring leaders receive accurate, timely, and actionable reportingSupport planning initiatives including cost‑benefit analysis, financial modeling, savings initiatives, and other operational improvement projectsPrepare costing analyses for new initiatives, enhanced programs, or funding submissions while considering impacts on activity targets and funded volumesEngage in ongoing analysis for special projects, providing insights and recommendations to support organizational objectivesBuild strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and strong financial partnershipProvide leadership, training, mentorship, and coaching to team members on financial analysis, reporting processes, and financial systemsYour strengths include:Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field5+ years of progressive experience in budgeting and financial analysisCPA designation (or currently pursuing) preferred but not requiredPrevious leadership experience is considered a strong assetIndustry experience in non-profits or government-adjacent organizations is highly valuedPossess a high commitment to providing quality customer serviceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong proficiency in Excel and previous experience with Oracle is an assetExcellent interpersonal and leadership skillsStrong knowledge of financial and statistical methodologies and practices
