Senior Financial Analyst

Our client is searching for a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team. This role will be responsible for delivering financial insights, analytical support, and strategic guidance to assist operational leaders in effective planning, budgeting, and decision‑making. The ideal candidate is adaptable in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment, excels at translating financial insights into operational impact, and brings strong problem‑solving skills with a commitment to continuous growth.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Gather, analyze, and evaluate financial and statistical data to support the organization's strategic and operational plans
  • Collaborate closely with non-financial operational leaders, providing financial advice, problem‑solving support, and strategic resource guidance for their respective departments
  • Perform detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews of financial results, combining financial information with key statistics to complete activity and price variance analysis
  • Work with internal Finance teams to ensure accurate monthly adjustments, accruals, and financial controls are in place for supported portfolios
  • Lead the development, maintenance, and monitoring of departmental budgets, ensuring leaders receive accurate, timely, and actionable reporting
  • Support planning initiatives including cost‑benefit analysis, financial modeling, savings initiatives, and other operational improvement projects
  • Prepare costing analyses for new initiatives, enhanced programs, or funding submissions while considering impacts on activity targets and funded volumes
  • Engage in ongoing analysis for special projects, providing insights and recommendations to support organizational objectives
  • Build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and strong financial partnership
  • Provide leadership, training, mentorship, and coaching to team members on financial analysis, reporting processes, and financial systems
  • Your strengths include:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in budgeting and financial analysis
  • CPA designation (or currently pursuing) preferred but not required
  • Previous leadership experience is considered a strong asset
  • Industry experience in non-profits or government-adjacent organizations is highly valued
  • Possess a high commitment to providing quality customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and previous experience with Oracle is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong knowledge of financial and statistical methodologies and practices
