Dow is seeking a Financial Cost Specialist in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. This role ensures the accuracy and completeness of accounting records and books, and is responsible for budgeting, product costing, recording, reporting, analyzing, and communicating functional/business activity results.
Responsibilities- Ensure financial statements accurately reflect company operations and financial positions.
- Support management teams with financial analysis for decision-making.
- Record, monitor, report, and communicate business results, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Conduct product costing, review variances, and communicate results to management.
- Perform product inventory and fixed assets reviews.
- Provide financial analysis for project studies, options analysis, and productivity/benchmarking.
- Facilitate budget setting and monthly/quarterly estimate processes.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or relevant military experience (U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class, Sergeant or higher).
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience.
- Legal ability to work in Canada; no visa sponsorship/support available.
- Accounting designation (CPA) is an asset.
- Experience in the accounting field is desirable.
