Risk Manager/Analyst, Financial Analyst

October 10, 2026 Opportunity AIMCo is seeking a Director, Fixed Income Investment Risk to join the Investment Risk Management (IRM) team within the Risk Management division. IRM supports investment decision-making by providing independent risk assessment, oversight, and advisory of investment risks at the transaction, product and client total portfolio levels. Reporting to the Senior Director, Fixed Income Investment Risk, you will assess, monitor, and report on risks across AIMCo's public and private fixed income investments.

- Leading portfolio risk analysis and ongoing monitoring activities to provide insight into the risk profile of fixed income products and support risk-informed decision-making.
- Partnering with colleagues across investment and risk teams to enhance risk reporting, strategic insight, and risk modeling capabilities.

Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or any other quantitative/STEM discipline. Post-graduate degree is preferred. 7+ years of relevant experience in investment management, risk management, financial analysis, or related fields. Strong understanding of fixed income markets, instruments, investment strategies, and factor modeling. Advanced Excel modeling capabilities and programming experience. Familiarity with public equity markets and alternative investment strategies is beneficial but not a requirement.
Progress toward, or completion of, the CFA, PRM, FRM, or similar professional designations is also an asset.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to evaluate complex information and communicate findings clearly and effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Thorough attention to detail combined with the ability to maintain perspective on broader organizational and client objectives. Ability to prioritize work, manage competing deadlines, and contribute effectively within a team environment.
