We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in a permanent, full-time capacity. In this high-impact role, you will play a key part in supporting the financial performance and strategic management of Finning's capital assets and rental fleet portfolio.

You will provide insightful analysis, develop robust financial models, and deliver meaningful reporting that enables data-driven decision-making across the organization. As a member of the Corporate Commercial and Financial Performance Management team, you will lead the development and maintenance of financial reporting, forecasting, and analytical processes related to capital expenditures, rental fleet investment, and cash flow performance. You will work closely with business leaders and finance partners to support short- and long-term planning, month-end reporting, executive presentations, and strategic initiatives that drive operational and financial performance.

• Financial Reporting & Insights:
  • Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting related to capital expenditures and rental performance with high accuracy.
  • Analyze capital and rental fleet results against plan, forecast, and prior periods, providing clear and actionable variance commentary.
  • Lead and participate in the completion of executive-level presentations.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports to support business needs.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting processes and systems.
• Forecasting and budgeting:
  • Partner with finance and operational teams to develop capital expenditure plans, rental fleet investment forecasts, and long-range financial projections.
  • Perform complex financial analysis, including: conducting research, identifying gaps in reporting and analysis application tools and process, design and implement solutions to support reporting and analysis requirements, application of modelling to analyze and interpret financial impact, and measure financial results against budget and forecast.
  • Develop comprehensive long range financial models.
  • Monitor financial and operational results to identify key trends, risks, and opportunities and provide proactive recommendations to management.
  • Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes related to capital and rental operations.
  • Preparation and delivery of reporting to the executives and management groups.
