Elevate fire safety in Nunavik with Kativik Regional Government as a dedicated Fire Safety Technician. Focus on emergency preparedness and community training initiatives. This role, supervised by the Civil Security Coordinator, involves promoting fire prevention and ensuring compliance with safety codes. You will be tasked with inspecting fire protection systems, conducting investigations, and collaborating on emergency response strategies within the region’s municipalities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate public safety and fire prevention training
• Conduct inspections of major occupancies
• Prepare detailed fire investigation reports
• Develop intervention plans with local fire brigades
• Assist in municipal emergency planning efforts Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in fire prevention or equivalent certification
• At least two years of relevant experience
• Proficient in building and fire codes
• Exceptional communication skills
