Lead emergency preparedness initiatives at Waterhen Lake First Nation as the Community Emergency Response Team Lead. This full-time role focuses on coordinating and enhancing community safety through proactive measures and training.
The CERT Lead will play a crucial role in developing a coordinated response system for emergency situations. This full-time position requires collaboration with Chief and Council, community stakeholders, and various emergency services. Candidates should possess a diploma in Emergency Management or related fields and have 1-2 years of relevant experience to ensure community resilience and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans
• Coordinate emergency response activities effectively
• Manage the First Responder program comprehensively
• Facilitate training and capacity-building efforts
• Oversee equipment and resource allocations
Requirements:
• University Diploma in relevant field
• Minimum 1-2 years in emergency management
• Knowledge of Indigenous emergency management practices
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License required
• Criminal Record Check must be completed
