Location: Stony Plain
Join the Town of Stony Plain as a temporary full-time Coordination Planner supporting various municipal planning activities. This entry-level role offers a chance for hands-on experience.
The Planning & Infrastructure Department is looking for a Coordination Planner to help implement and coordinate planning projects while engaging with the community. Candidates should possess strong communication and organizational skills along with a foundational understanding of land use planning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with planning project coordination and community inquiries
• Conduct research and prepare planning reports
• Support public engagement initiatives for planning projects
• Implement electronic permitting software for efficiency
• Work collaboratively within the planning team
Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree in Planning or related area
• Must qualify for membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners
• Class 5 Alberta Driver's License is required
• Prior planning or municipal experience is advantageous
• Ability to attend occasional evening or weekend events
