Senior Public Engagement Advisor

This full-time role supports the Executive Council in advising departments on optimal engagement strategies. Your expertise will be vital in applying strategic frameworks and assessing community impacts, ultimately promoting inclusive policy development across the Alberta Public Service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide guidance on department-led engagement projects
• Conduct environmental scans for strategic engagement opportunities
• Collaborate with policy offices on engagement plan reviews
• Advise leaders on risks related to engagement activities
• Develop learning tools for effective engagement practices
Requirements:
• University degree plus four years of experience in public engagement
• Familiarity with IAP2 participation frameworks
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience evaluating engagement strategies effectively
• Ability to cultivate cooperative relationships within communities
Lead strategic community engagement efforts that shape Alberta’s public policies as a trusted advisor.
