Location: Stony Plain
Safeguard sensitive information as the Privacy Coordinator for the Town of Stony Plain, Alberta. This full-time role requires expertise in information management practices, compliance, and training.
As part of Corporate Services, you will support the development and enhancement of the municipal records program. Your responsibilities will include coordinating privacy management strategies and ensuring adherence to federal and provincial legislation. The role demands strong analytical skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement corporate records management programs
• Coordinate the privacy management program effectively
• Train employees on best information handling practices
• Provide support for Access to Information Act administration
• Interpret legislation and ensure compliance in operations
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in a relevant field
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience
• Knowledge of ATIA, POPA, and data governance principles
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Commitment to integrity and confidentiality
