Shape Alberta's public policy as a Senior Public Engagement Advisor in Edmonton. Work full-time to foster stakeholder involvement and improve government decision-making through public collaboration. In this pivotal role, you will serve under the Executive Council, advising various departments on effective engagement practices.
Your role emphasizes applying strategic frameworks and assessing impacts on communities to promote inclusive government policy development. You’ll contribute to strengthening engagement capability across the Alberta Public Service.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide guidance on department-led engagement projects
- Conduct environmental scanning for strategic opportunities
- Collaborate with policy offices to review engagement plans
- Advise leadership on risks associated with engagement
- Lead the development of learning tools for engagement practices
- University degree plus four years of public engagement experience
- Familiarity with IAP2 participation frameworks
- Strong skills in communication and stakeholder management
- Experience in evaluation of engagement strategies
- Proven ability to develop cooperative relationships
Contribute to enriching Alberta’s public engagement landscape through strategic insight and community-focused practices in Edmonton.
