Location: Morinville
Join Sturgeon County as a Development Compliance Officer, focused on ensuring adherence to Land Use Bylaws. Your expertise will enhance community livability through effective monitoring and enforcement.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for administrative compliance tasks related to development and subdivision processes. You will manage inspections, provide technical advice, and address inquiries efficiently. This role involves community engagement, outreach regarding compliance issues, and significant interaction with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular site inspections and manage enforcement cases
• Ensure all developments comply with approved plans and bylaws
• Attend hearings to provide evidence and support local governance
• Address public concerns about land use and development issues
• Develop and maintain accurate compliance records and databases
Requirements:
• Completion of a two-year diploma in relevant field
• At least three years of municipal enforcement experience
• Strong familiarity with Alberta’s land use regulations
• Skills in interpreting planning and enforcement documents
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication capabilities
