As an Animal Control Peace Officer, you will play a vital role in the City of Edmonton's commitment to community safety and education. This position requires law enforcement experience combined with strong customer service skills. Responsibilities include responding to public complaints, conducting patrols, and liaising with multiple agencies to resolve animal-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct proactive patrols for compliance checks
• Investigate animal-related incidents and handle wildlife
• Apply enforcement actions like tickets and seizures
• Collaborate with the Edmonton Police Service and social agencies
• Deliver educational presentations to community groups
Requirements:
• Diploma in Police Studies or related field
• Minimum three years customer service experience
• One year of law enforcement experience
• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications
