As a full-time Policy Analyst, you will lead the development and evaluation of emergency management and 911 legislation.
Your role includes researching trends, synthesizing findings into actionable recommendations, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance public safety. Reporting to the Manager of Emergency Management Strategic Planning and Legislation, your work will support vital government initiatives and enhance community resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead environmental scans of emergency management trends
• Synthesize research into policy reports and recommendations
• Develop stakeholder engagement strategies and materials
• Analyze data to support evidence-informed policy options
• Draft strategic documentation for executive decision-making
Requirements:
• University degree in related field; 2 years experience
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities
• Proven collaboration experience with senior leadership
• Sound judgment on sensitive policy issues
Play a critical role in advancing Alberta’s emergency management policies and community safety through your analytical skills.
