The Ministry of Jobs, Economy, Trade and Immigration is seeking a Lead Trade Policy Officer with six years of relevant experience. In this leadership position, you will analyze international trade negotiations, develop policy positions, and coordinate Alberta's responses to trade disputes. You'll engage with various stakeholders and ensure compliance with trade agreements, making a significant impact on the province's trade strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze international trade negotiations and their impacts on Alberta
• Develop and manage Alberta's trade policy positions
• Build intergovernmental and international partnerships
• Provide expert trade policy advice and analysis
• Promote the benefits of trade agreements to Alberta businesses
Requirements:
• University degree in Law, Business, or related field
• Six years of progressively responsible trade policy experience
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Knowledge of international trade policy
• Ability to work independently and in teams
Utilize your expertise in trade policy to influence Alberta’s economic landscape from Edmonton.
