Position: Planner II Role at City
Join the City of Edmonton as a Planner II, where you will play a critical role in urban infill projects that support sustainable city growth. Your focus will include managing initiatives aimed at reaching a 50% residential growth goal.

As part of the Infill Liaison Team, you will supervise junior planners, manage collaborative efforts with various community stakeholders, and analyze operational data to drive continuous improvements. Your skills in mediation and technical document writing will be vital for addressing complex inquiries and presenting to City Council.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advance urban planning initiatives supporting residential infill

• Formulate clear recommendations for City leadership

• Engage with stakeholders to resolve planning-related issues

• Monitor project milestones and service agreements

• Guide junior planners in professional development

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or relevant field

• At least four years of urban planning experience

• Experience in supervising staff is preferred

• Strong analytical and public speaking skills

• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license required
