Position: City Planner I

The City of Edmonton is seeking a dedicated Planner I to influence land use and development. In this position, you will manage applications like rezonings, engage with the community, and propose balanced land use recommendations. Your work will directly impact sustainable growth and efficient land practices in our vibrant city.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and review rezoning and development applications

• Coordinate technical agency feedback and application circulations

• Design and facilitate public engagement initiatives

• Build relationships and resolve land use conflicts

• Author reports and prepare documents for City Council

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning or related field

• Minimum of two years planning experience

• Strong understanding of land use processes

• Advanced communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent project management and organizational abilities
