Position: Analyst for Emergency Policy AEMA

As a full-time Policy Analyst, you will research and evaluate emergency management practices while contributing to critical policy frameworks. You will support senior management with strategic analysis and collaborate with a range of stakeholders to foster a well-coordinated response to emergencies. Your contributions will be essential in keeping Alberta communities safe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead research on national and international emergency strategies

• Develop reports and recommendations for policy improvements

• Engage stakeholders in policy development initiatives

• Analyze data to create policy options based on evidence

• Draft comprehensive strategic documents for decision makers

Requirements:

• University degree in Disaster Management or related field; 2 years of experience

• Strong critical thinking and analytical capabilities

• Excellent communication skills, especially in high-stakes environments

• Proven ability to work collaboratively across different sectors

• Knowledge of key legislative processes and governance
