Shape the future of Mac Ewan University as the Director of Government Relations. This full-time role is critical for advancing strategic initiatives and government engagement in Edmonton.
As the Government Relations Director, you will report to the AVP, Government and Community Relations, and lead efforts to align university priorities with government objectives. Your experience will inform strategic recommendations and enhance relationships with key stakeholders in both policy and funding initiatives. You will play a key role in ensuring effective communication and advocacy for the University.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute the university's government strategy
• Coordinate assessments of government policy initiatives
• Build relationships with ministers and public servants
• Advise on stakeholder engagement strategies
• Conduct analyses of emerging issues affecting higher education
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred
• Minimum 8 years in public policy or government relations
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships
• Background in post-secondary education is an asset
• Comfort with multi-stakeholder dynamics
