Newcomer Integration branch

Within the Immigration Division, the Newcomer Integration Branch supports settlement and workforce integration initiatives while advancing fair and transparent pathways for internationally trained professionals seeking registration in Alberta. Reporting to the Fair Registration Practices Officer, this position plays a key role in supporting the implementation and oversight of Alberta's Fair Registration Practices Act NT4.1 (FRPA)

Role Responsibilities As the Senior Fair Registration Practices Analyst, you will provide strategic policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and project leadership to support fair registration practices across Alberta's professional regulatory environment. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to navigate complex policy and legislative issues. Your responsibilities will include:

• Researching and analyzing emerging issues, trends, and best practices related to professional regulation and foreign qualification recognition.
• Interpreting and applying legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures under the Fair Registration Practices Act.
• Analyzing quantitative and qualitative information to identify opportunities, issues, and recommendations for improvement.
• Developing briefing notes, reports, presentations, decision documents, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
• Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with regulatory bodies, government partners, and stakeholders.
• Leading projects and initiatives related to policy development, stakeholder engagement, process improvement, and legislative implementation.
• Supporting outreach, education, and continuous improvement activities to strengthen fair registration practices across Alberta.
