Manager Indigenous Partnerships Alberta Sheriffs

Advance Indigenous relations as the Manager, Indigenous and Community Partnerships with Alberta Sheriffs Police Service. This full-time role emphasizes building trust and collaboration with Indigenous communities across Alberta.

Based in either Edmonton or Calgary, this permanent position reports to the Deputy Chief. You will lead engagement strategies, develop partnerships with First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities, and provide strategic advice on cultural and community considerations. Reconciliation and community-informed practices are at the core of ASPS's mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build trusted relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations

• Develop and implement partnership strategies for community needs

• Advise senior leadership on Indigenous relations and reconciliation

• Integrate Indigenous perspectives into ASPS policies and trainings

• Represent ASPS at community meetings and public engagement events

Requirements:

• Minimum four years in Indigenous relations or community engagement

• Strong knowledge of Indigenous cultures and governance

• Proven success in relationship-building with Indigenous leaders

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills

• Commitment to cultural safety and respectful engagement
