Position: Manager of Indigenous Relations with ASPS
Join Alberta Sheriffs Police Service as the Manager of Indigenous and Community Partnerships. This full-time position focuses on fostering collaboration with Indigenous communities for impactful policing reform.

In this permanent position based in Edmonton or Calgary, you will lead strategies for Indigenous engagement while reporting to the Deputy Chief.

Your role will emphasize the importance of Indigenous perspectives in shaping public safety practices and enhancing community trust. This position plays a vital role in advancing reconciliation efforts and inclusive policy development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain relationships with Indigenous governments and organizations

• Develop partnership strategies to meet community needs

• Provide strategic advice on cultural and reconciliation matters

• Promote Indigenous integration in ASPS policies and service delivery

• Engage with community members at events and meetings

Requirements:

• At least four years in Indigenous relations or relevant initiatives

• Comprehensive knowledge of Indigenous history and rights

• Proven ability to cultivate relationships with Indigenous leaders

• Excellent strategic advice and facilitation skills

• Dedicated to promoting cultural safety and respectful engagement
