Job Opportunity

Alberta Health Services (Recovery Alberta) seeks a Health Promotion Facilitator for the Hinton/Jasper Mental Health and Addiction Services (Child/Youth and Adult). This full‑time position (7.75 hours per shift) is based in Jasper, AB and will serve clients impacted by the recent Jasper Wildfire or with identified mental illness. Preferred candidates will reside within the Hinton‑Jasper corridor.

As a Health Promotion Facilitator, you will:

• Assist communities to be healthier through mentoring, advocacy, and education
• Link individuals and communities to relevant health resources within the region or province
• Collaborate with community partners, workplaces, and health services to access, plan, implement and evaluate health‑promotion strategies
• Participate in special studies and/or research projects; review health‑related data and identify trends related to population health and at‑risk groups
• Facilitate the development and/or implementation of program‑specific guidelines in partnership with other stakeholders
• Plan, develop and facilitate workshops, seminars and presentations for staff and for communities, workplaces and health services
• Prepare work plans, budgets and year‑end reports; provide input for departmental goals and strategies

• Completion of a bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion, Health Sciences, Health Education, or a related field
• Relevant experience in health promotion or related fields is required

Minimum salary: $38.56 per hour; maximum salary: $51.27 per hour. Posting ends 24‑NOV‑2025. Regular full‑time employee. Driver’s license required; vehicle provided. Shift pattern: days (7.75 hours per shift); days off Saturday/Sunday.
