About the Role
Prosperity Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join a multidisciplinary outpatient mental health team in Edmonton, AB. This role focuses on delivering evidence-based mental health care to adults, with an emphasis on operational trauma, occupational health, and deployment-related care.
DutiesIntake, crisis interventions, biopsychosocial assessment, individual therapy, medication monitoring. Must use CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Strengths
- Based, or Solution Focused Therapy.
Note:
Resume must demonstrate experience and professional development related to these treatment modalities.
- Bachelors degree in Nursing from a recognized institution AND one of the following
:- Post-graduate Certificate in Mental Health Nursing
- CNA Certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing (CPMHN)
- OR Bachelor of Science in Psychiatric Nursing (or equivalent)
- Also open to BScN + Psychiatric Nursing diploma combination
- Minimum 3 years of mental health nursing experience within the last 5 years
- Experience in adult community mental health settings
- Strong skills in psychotherapy, CBT, solution-focused therapy, and crisis intervention
- Current RN license in Alberta
- BLS or CPR/AED Level C (or willingness to obtain)
