Position: Health Care Aide at Optima Living
Location: Wetaskiwin

Become a vital part of Optima Living as a Health Care Aide dedicated to enriching residents' lives. This role involves assisting with daily activities and promoting personal independence in a supportive, resident-first environment.

At Optima Living, the Health Care Aide works under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, focusing on person-centered care. You will help meet residents' physical, emotional, and social needs in a compassionate setting. Your responsibilities will span various areas, including personal care, medication administration, and supporting recreational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with daily living activities like bathing and grooming

• Respond to call bells and resident requests promptly

• Document care observations and report changes accurately

• Support personalized care plans for each resident

• Ensure safety and proper nutrition in daily activities

Requirements:

• Health Care Aide program completion required

• Current registration with BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry

• Experience in residential care preferred

• CPR and First Aid certifications must be active

• Clear Police Information and Vulnerable Sector Checks required
