Location: Wetaskiwin
Join the multidisciplinary team at Wetaskiwin Hospital as a Physiotherapist I. You will assess and treat patients in acute care, fostering their journey towards independence.
In this full-time role at Wetaskiwin Hospital and Care Centre, you will deliver therapeutic interventions tailored to patients’ needs. Collaborating closely with therapy assistants and occupational therapists, your focus will be on enhancing clients' physical function and independence across various conditions. Your contributions will also include interprofessional collaboration for quality improvement and peer mentoring.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for patients
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement rehabilitation strategies
• Provide education and consultation to patients and families
• Supervise and mentor therapy assistants and students
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy
• Current registration with College of Physiotherapists of Alberta
• Commitment to patient-centered interventions
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt treatment plans as needed
