CMHA Community Peer Facilitator

This role offers a flexible schedule for workshops aimed at supporting individuals with mental health issues and their families. Working under the guidance of the Community Strategies Lead, you will co-develop and evaluate projects and programs that enhance peer support. Your unique experiences will inspire others as you encourage positive mental health strategies. Availability during various times is vital, ensuring community needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate supportive courses and community workshops
• Collaborate on program development and evaluations
• Engage in outreach and education initiatives
• Inspire with your personal recovery story
• Co-facilitate with fellow Peer Facilitators
Requirements:
• Completion of Peer Support training in the community
• Lived experience related to mental health challenges
• Knowledge of recovery principles and mental health resources
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Clearances including Police and Vulnerable Sector checks
