Be a part of the Community Rehabilitation Interdisciplinary Services as a Recreation Therapist I. Engage in patient assessment and recreation therapy with adults facing complex rehabilitation needs in a hybrid environment.
In this role, you will work closely with an interdisciplinary team including Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, and Social Work to provide comprehensive services. Your tasks will involve clinical support, education, and facilitating patient communication, while maintaining evidence-based standards. You will also mentor Therapy students, complying with all procedures and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver evidence-based recreation therapy and treatment
• Maintain thorough clinical documentation and monitor progress
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams on patient care
• Supervise Therapy Assistants and guide students during practice
• Participate actively in family and patient meetings
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation or similar
• ATRA registration required or eligible
• Two years’ experience in neurological therapy
• Strong assessment and interpersonal skills
• BCLS certification essential
