Join Sturgeon Community Hospital as a Medical Laboratory Assistant I in St. Albert, specializing in night shifts.
Your role will involve key laboratory functions including phlebotomy and specimen processing.
This part-time position at Sturgeon Community Hospital requires a 0.7 FTE commitment with a 7 on, 7 off shift rotation. You will perform phlebotomy procedures, handle specimen entry, and ensure proper testing protocols are followed. Candidates should have recent experience in lab techniques and be comfortable working with advanced lab systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct phlebotomy for diverse patient demographics
• Process and dispatch lab specimens efficiently
• Carry out accurate urinalysis testing
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with specimens
• Assist with reception duties and administrative tasks
Requirements:
• Completion of a Medical Laboratory Assistant program
• Proven phlebotomy skills within the last year
• Familiarity with EPIC Beaker and data entry preferred
• Experience with specimen processing and Rover is beneficial
• Successful clearance of criminal record check required
