Be a pivotal part of the Northern Alberta Program as a Clinical Pharmacist I, working collaboratively to improve outcomes for patients with HIV in an outpatient setting. This role emphasizes efficient medication management and patient education.
At the Kaye Edmonton Clinic, you will engage with a diverse interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive support to patients living with HIV.
Your role includes optimizing medication therapy, participating in specialized treatment programs, and ensuring patients receive thorough drug information and counselling. Strong organizational skills are essential for managing competing demands in this dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Optimize and initiate patient therapy effectively
• Address and resolve drug-related problems promptly
• Ensure continuity through community pharmacy coordination
• Support rapid initiation of antiretroviral therapies
• Deliver essential medication counselling to patients
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required
• Current registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy
• At least 1 year of recent pharmacist experience
• Additional prescribing authorization needed
• HIV specialty experience considered an asset
