Health Shared Services is seeking an Administrative Support III to enhance patient data accuracy and provide exceptional service in Alberta's healthcare system. This role requires keen attention to detail and a patient-first mindset.
In this Administrative Support III position, you'll utilize advanced skills to support diverse health department functions. Your responsibilities encompass interviewing patients, verifying healthcare eligibility, and managing sensitive information according to privacy laws. You'll be integral in ensuring a smooth patient experience from various entry points in the health care system.
Key Responsibilities:
• Interview patients and caregivers for necessary information
• Input demographic and financial details in the system
• Prepare wristbands and identification materials promptly
• Maintain compliance with relevant healthcare regulations
• Follow procedures for patient accommodations and inquiries
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent education
• Mandatory Medical Terminology certification
• Proven typing speed of at least 40 WPM
• Strong command of English, both oral and written
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
