In this Environmental Public Health Officer (EG-06) role, you will be instrumental in enhancing public health outcomes for Indigenous populations. Your work will involve risk management and inspections related to drinking water, food safety, and more. This position is based in either Calgary or Edmonton, demanding a commitment to frequent travel to serve isolated communities effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage public health inspections in Indigenous communities
• Advise on health protection and environmental risks
• Create educational resources for community training
• Foster partnerships with local health organizations
• Conduct inspections and assessments across regions
Requirements:
• Degree in Health Sciences or equivalent experience
• Certificate in Public Health Inspection required
• Five years of relevant work experience
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to travel to remote locations
