Transform lives as a full-time Residential Community Rehabilitation Support Worker with Independent Counselling Enterprises (ICE) in Edmonton. This role emphasizes effective communication through American Sign Language (ASL) and fostering independence in adults with disabilities.
At ICE, you will support adults with daily routines, building independence and engaging in community activities. As a crucial team member, you will create a safe, respectful environment that promotes dignity and connection. Your ability to communicate using ASL will be vital in this fulfilling role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with meals, cleaning, and daily living activities
• Support personal care including hygiene and mobility needs
• Encourage skill development and independence
• Facilitate community participation and social outings
• Maintain accurate records and follow support plans
Requirements:
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Reliable and punctual for shift work
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check
• Basic First Aid with CPR Level A certification
