Casual Lab Patient Technician

Position: LifeLabs Casual Lab Patient Technician
Elevate patient care as a Lab Patient Technician at Life Labs, located in Orillia, ON. This role involves specimen collection and ensuring precise patient interactions across various shifts each week.

As a casual float technician, you'll be essential in supporting patient services from Monday to Saturday. Your responsibilities will encompass performing phlebotomies, special tests, and ensuring meticulous documentation of patient information. Adaptability is key as you may rotate through various service locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome patients and explain collection procedures

• Conduct phlebotomies and ECG tracings accurately

• Execute medical test collections and complete documentation

• Maintain client relations and respond to follow-ups

• Prepare specimens for transport and testing

Requirements:

• Completion of an approved Laboratory Assistant program preferred

• Experience in phlebotomy is advantageous

• Strong typing skills (minimum 40 wpm)

• Excellent patient service skills under pressure

• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
