The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a  Health Care Aide  to join our Lifestyle Options - Schonsee team on a temporary full-time (1.0 FTE) day shift position, with a temporary assignment scheduled to conclude on August 31, 2026, with the possibility of an earlier end date or an extension. In this role, you will work with a team to provide inclusive, resident-centered care that promotes dignity and independence, under the direction of a Licensed Practical Nurse and Supervisor.

What you’ll do:

Provide high-quality care in alignment with each resident’s individualized care plan.

Support daily living needs, including personal hygiene, mobility, meals, and recreational activities.

Complete safe and appropriate medication assistance in accordance with current standards.

Perform authorized and delegated procedures to meet specific resident needs.

Communicate observations and concerns to nurses, AHS Case Managers, and other health professionals.

Accurately document service hours and all activities performed for residents.

Qualifications :

Active registration with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).

Experience with elderly, disabled, and palliative care preferred.

Delivers person-centered care and involves residents and families in care planning.

Demonstrates emotional intelligence and strong communication skills in English.

May be exposed to infectious diseases; follows safety protocols and hygiene standards.
