Join CASA Mental Health in delivering trauma-informed care to Indigenous children and families. Embrace cultural safety and holistic wellness as a Mental Health Therapist in Alberta.
This permanent, full-time role requires a passion for supporting children, youth, and families through culturally responsive mental health services. You will assess and intervene using Indigenous wellness practices alongside modern therapeutic modalities, fostering a community of resilience. Your work will directly impact the lives of children and families in partner First Nation and Métis communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for all ages
• Provide holistic interventions using culturally informed practices
• Collaborate with Indigenous Wellness Support Services and community Elders
• Supervise Therapy Support Navigators in therapeutic delivery
• Facilitate group programming for children and families
Requirements:
• Graduate degree in psychology, social work, or related field
• Two years of clinical practice in mental health for children and families
• Knowledge of Indigenous trauma impacts and systemic barriers
• Registration with a professional health college
• Certification in relevant therapeutic modalities is preferred
