Recreation Aide

Position: Recreation Aide at AgeCare
Elevate resident experiences as a Recreation Aide age seniors in meaningful recreational programs to enhance their quality of life through collaborative support.

In this vital role, you will assess, plan, and implement leisure activities that align with care plans lab oration with the Recreation Manager is key as you create an inclusive environment, encouraging social connections among residents. Documentation of participation and program effectiveness will also be part of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and delivering engaging recreation programs

• Create welcoming spaces for resident interaction

• Support assessments and evaluations of resident engagement

• Maintain accurate records and program documentation

• Facilitate resident participation in community outings and events

Requirements:

• Diploma in Recreation, Gerontology, or related field

• Experience in senior recreation or health care settings

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

• Valid driver’s license for resident transport
