Join the University of Alberta Hospital as an Occupational Therapist in casual support roles. Contribute to diverse inpatient programs while helping patients achieve their functional goals.
As an Occupational Therapist I, you will provide evidence-informed services focusing on the occupational performance of individuals and groups.
Your role includes conducting assessments, collaborating with clients, and supporting their journey towards independence. Engage in interprofessional teams to enhance service delivery and promote quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide consultations, screenings, and assessments for patients
• Collaborate in setting and evaluating rehabilitation goals
• Support self-management and education for clients
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives with healthcare teams
• Supervise Therapy Assistants and mentor students
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)
• Basic Life Support certification from Heart and Stroke Foundation
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
• Flexible availability for various shifts
