Enhance patient well-being as a part-time Respiratory Therapist I at Westview Health Centre. This role focuses on patient assessment, care plan implementation, and collaboration with healthcare professionals.
As a key member of the emergency department, you will evaluate patients and craft individualized respiratory therapy plans while tracking their progress. Training healthcare staff on equipment and educating patients about their treatment will also be a primary part of your responsibilities, promoting effective use and understanding of respiratory therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate patients and devise therapy plans
• Monitor patient progress through therapy
• Provide training on respiratory equipment
• Work with clinical teams to improve outcomes
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care
Requirements:
• Active registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta
• Knowledge of therapeutic techniques
• Strong assessment and communication skills
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
• Commitment to ongoing patient education
