In this full-time, on-site role, you will join a collaborative healthcare team at the University of Alberta Hospital. As a phlebotomist focusing on adult collections initially, you may later receive specialized pediatric training. Your meticulous attention to detail will be crucial for ensuring quality control and efficient specimen management in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections that support diagnostics

• Sort and prepare specimens for lab transport

• Maintain lab equipment and ensure quality control

• Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare providers

• Manage physical tasks, including cart handling and lifting

Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program

• Recent phlebotomy experience within the last 6 months

• Familiarity with Rover and EPIC is preferred

• Ability to pass background security screening
