Location: Drayton Valley
Join the Regional Health Authority as a Public Health Inspector I focusing on environmental health in Drayton Valley.
Your role will support community wellness through thorough inspections and health hazard management.
In this position, you will oversee a comprehensive environmental public health program within a specified geographical area while addressing the health impacts of physical, chemical, and biological hazards. Your work will involve consultations, monitoring inspections, and enforcing public health regulations to maintain safe and healthy environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement a thorough environmental public health program
• Manage community health hazards effectively
• Carry out disease surveillance and inspections
• Enforce regulations on safe food and drinking water
• Promote safe recreational and built environments
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health or similar
• Certification in Public Health Inspection (Canada)
• Good standing with CIPHI
Contribute to community health and safety through your public health inspection expertise.
