Empower individuals who are deafblind with Sensity as a part-time Intervenor in Paris, ON. Support communication and daily living skills during overnight shifts for personal growth.
Sensity, a leader in Intervenor Services, is seeking a part-time Intervenor to assist the deafblind community. You will engage in communication techniques and help foster independence for individuals living with dual sensory impairments. The role includes essential personal care and documentation, ensuring a supportive environment for each client.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist individuals in home and community settings
• Implement communication techniques for effective interaction
• Empower clients in daily living activities
• Provide necessary personal care and support
• Ensure complete and accurate documentation
Requirements:
• College diploma in relevant human services fields
• Experience with developmental disabilities and mental health
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or SEE
• Valid Class G driver's license and reliable vehicle
• Ability to lift 35 lbs to 50 lbs periodically
