Community Service Worker

Become a Community Service Worker with Good Samaritan Society in Edmonton, Alberta. This part-time role focuses on providing support and care for individuals with developmental disabilities in community settings.

As a vital member of the team, you will deliver direct care while fostering independence and community connectedness. The position involves personal care, behavioral intervention, and supporting daily living activities. You will primarily work on Wednesdays, Fridays, and weekends for a total of 36 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and support to clients

• Assist with meal preparation and housekeeping tasks

• Implement behavioral programs and interventions

• Facilitate community inclusion through activities

• Maintain open communication with residents and families

Requirements:

• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities

• Valid First Aid and CPR Certification

• Rehabilitation Practitioner Diploma or equivalent

• Strong communication and computer skills

• Current Criminal Records Check and tuberculosis screening
