In this position, you will work overnight shifts, providing respite care and support for young individuals with mental health challenges. Transporting a child to school in Sturgeon County, you must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle. Engage fully with the child and utilize trauma-informed care strategies to help them thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide respite care and support with daily activities
• Administer medications as per instructions
• Prepare meals that meet dietary needs
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and G-tubes
• Offer companionship and plan engaging activities
Requirements:
• Experience in caregiving with teens
• Knowledge of medication procedures
• Physical capability to lift and assist
• Strong communication and caring attitude
• Valid First Aid, police checks, and a driver's license
