Your Opportunity

This position is Radiology only at Westview in Stony Plain. You will work with inpatients, outpatients, and ER patients providing excellent patient care while producing high-quality Diagnostic Images in a timely manner.

Description

As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I, you will perform procedures in both the laboratory and in diagnostic imaging, typically in rural sites. You will work as a member of the inter-professional team and be responsible for collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X-ray examinations, ECGs and reporting results. Your responsibilities include preparing patients, venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies and performing quality control procedures as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).

Additional

Required Qualifications:

  • Able to multitask and work well independently. Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team. CPR/BLS certification up to date.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous DI experience is an asset. Connect Care experience is an asset. Minimum 3 years of experience in an acute care setting.
