In this essential role, you will assess functions, develop tailored treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions to residents in long-term care. This position requires a passion for advocating occupational therapy while ensuring residents' comfort and safety. Your skills will directly contribute to improving their self-care, productivity, and leisure activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess residents upon admission and continuously evaluate their progress
• Develop individualized treatment care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Implement therapeutic programs aligned with residents' goals
• Document critical information relating to occupational therapy services
• Identify safety hazards and participate in resolutions
Requirements:
• Valid registration with applicable provincial regulatory board
• Baccalaureate degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
• Minimum two years of geriatric clinical experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Current Vulnerable Sector Check within six months
